Meena Narayanan was born in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, India. She was brought up there with her 11 other siblings. Her life changed completely when she married her husband Nambi Narayanan. - Nambi Narayanan arrested by Kerala Police in 1994 along with some other scientists for the charge of leaking vital secrets of ISRO to foreign agents. And being a wife of someone who accused of being a traitor, she suffered a lot. She faced discrimination and hate by the people of her own country.
- In an interview her husband Nambi shared everything that his family and especially his wife had to face during that time because of the false charges on him. He shared that everyone regarded him as a traitor who betrayed his nation. And as a result people started coming to his home, burning his effigy, and shouting slogans against him. He also shares some incidents of that time.
- As we mentioned earlier Meena highly devoted follower of Hinduism. She used to go to the temples regularly and pray to God for the well being of her family. Once, during the time of crisis, she went to the temple for her regular prayer. But because of the rumours, the priest of the temple declined to give her prasadam. Nambi Narayanan also tell how his children become upset and his wife went into depression and lost her voice because of the trauma and the discrimination that they faced during that time.
- Despite everything Meena stood up with her husband and supported him in every way possible. She knew that her husband loved and was loyal towards the country and would never do anything to harm it.

- Meena has highly devoted to God. She had fixed weekly schedule of temples to visited. And she visited temples according to the days that she decided for God to prayed. On Monday she visited Srikanteswaram temple, On Tuesday and Friday she visited Attukal Devi temple, On Thursday she visited Srivaraham temple and on Saturday she used to visit Sri Padmanabha Swami temple.
- Her husband shares that during the time of the Crisis, she had forced to get off the rickshaw and the priest refused to give prasadam to her.
